Day 33

Final Day!

semi-overcast

Back to Nanaimo today, back to my "new" old home, back to business tomorrow!
Thank you to the AMAZING team of individuals at TP, if not for you , this incredible experience wouldn't have happened!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This time allowed me special moments and memories that will be with me forever!
Highlight in Calgary was sitting at the dinner table chatting with Karen and Marshall❤❤
Highlight in St. Catharines ( other than seeing my Dad of course❤) was Thanksgiving dinner with my Family.
This has been an incredibly joyful experience, just one of many to come in my life!
If not for all of my life experiences thus far, this trip would not have been what it was!
I am GRATEFUL for each and every one that I shared time with!
THANK YOU TO ALL of my FAMILY ❤and my dear FRIENDS❤ in Ontario and Nanaimo for joining me in this journey!
I LOVE YOU ALL!
Attached are a couple pics on the ferry from Vancouver to Nanaimo!

Day 32

Day 32

Drove from Calgary to Vancouver. In the road at 7 am. Karen and Marshall( bless their hearts❤❤) were up to see me off. Always great to spend time with such wonderful friends!
Check engine light came on just as I was starting out.! UGH:( It wasn't flashing so I kept going!
I wasn't expecting snow on my travels BUT shit happens! Rogers pass was a wee bit snowy and I was a wee bit nervous!
Driving in the snow on a flat surface is one thing but on the inclines and declines was something else. After Roger's pass it was smooth sailing. PHEW!
Spent the night at a friend's, had an amazing visit!:)

Day 31

Day 31

semi-overcast 2 °C

Last Day in Calgary. Karen and I had an 8am appointment with the gym!
Came back , had some breakie and then off to have our nails done at 12:)
Came back to pick up Marshall so we could all go for lunch. We went to an Irish pub downtown, the food was AWESOME!
Saw the Calgary tower up close! Drove past Lori's building, the Bow Building and located in front is the Wonderland Sculpture. Had to make one more trip to the PIE JUNKIE:)
Worked on the puzzle that we started a month ago, super hard puzzle!
Stopped at COBS for a french baguette, then had beef dips for dinner!
Karen and I put a facial mask on and we looked like Michael Myers from Halloween!
Watched Love Actually and of course cried:) Great Movie! (Forgot to mention we watched Carrie Pilby last night, enjoyed it very much)
Awesome stay with Karen and Marshall! Thank you both for your incredible hospitality! I love spending time with you both❤❤
The journey isn't quite complete yet! Off to Vancouver tomorrow!

Day 30

Day 30

sunny -8 °C

Calgary certainly has incredible sunrises and sunsets! (Pic attached) One if my favorite spaces in Karen and Marshall's home is the book corner! When I I get up in the morning, the first thing I do is grab my journals and head to my spot:)
Karen and I were at the gym by 9:30!
We headed out in the afternoon for a little stroll to some really cool shops! On our way home we made a very necessary stop at the PIE JUNKIE ! LOL :)
Marshall and I sat by the fire, chatted, and enjoyed our wine while Karen prepared the best roast beef dinner I've ever had! Thank you Marshall for great conversation and Thank you Karen for the wonderful meal!❤❤
We watched a movie and thoroughly enjoyed our dessert from the PIE JUNKIE!
